Looking for perths best hiking and walking trails? this list will keep you busy whilst seeing the best perth has to offer!
1. Lesmurdie Falls :
Only 40 minutes from Perths CBD, Lesmurdie National Park is a must-visit destination for hikers of all levels! You can choose the easy 600m return Falls Trail or challenge yourself with the full 3km Valley Loop Trail. One of the best things about this park is its flexibility—you can start your adventure at the bottom or top, with car parks available at both ends, and even customise your trail to some extent. Just don’t forget to keep track of your turns (I may have gotten a little lost—check out CSG TikTok for some hilarious fail videos!).

2. Serpentine National Park:
Serpentine National Park is another fantastic spot to spend a few hours exploring, located 50 minutes south of Perth CBD. With its stunning wildlife—especially in the early morning—and a variety of hiking trails, it’s a nature lover’s dream! You can take the easy route to the falls or venture onto other trails, like the challenging Baldwins Bluff Trail, which stretches 5.8km and isn’t for the faint-hearted. Other tracks, such as Stacey’s Loop and Kitty George, also offer great options for exploring the park. Check out the trail details on Explore Parks WA, but don’t forget there’s an entrance fee for this park. Why not make the most of it by trying out a couple of trails while you’re there?

This picturesque spot offers beauty year-round, along with a 3.6km loop through lush bushland that passes the breathtaking falls. The trail takes about 75 minutes to complete, featuring incredible views along the way. While it can get a bit muddy and challenging in parts, the experience is absolutely worth the drive.

5. Churchman Brook Dam:
Churchman Brook Dam offers a vigorous hike that is not for the faint hearted! The hike itself is a 9km trail and features many steep inclines and rocky paths, but the views surrounding the dam are well worth it. We recommend to do this walk with friends, and don’t forget to take some photos along the way.

6. Mount Pleasant Bridge to Bridge:
Looking for a light walk close to Perth city? The 7km loop over Canning Bridge and the Mt Henry Bridge is the track for you! This walk is pup and family friendly, and features many amenities along the way if you are wanting to grab a coffee or a snack along the way. This walk features views of Perth’s very own swan river and you are sure to see many cute dogs (which is of course the most important part).

7. Yanchep National Park:
Our final hiking recommendations can be found at Yanchep National Park. The park has many different trails to offer but the beautiful wildlife and scenery the park has to offer means whichever you choose you know will be a good one. The Ghost House Trail is one of the more recommended, spaning 12.4km.
